Clay is such a beautiful material to work with. Combine it with a light box and it seems even more stunning.
We use air drying clay as we don't have access to a kiln.
Here I simply left lumps of clay out on the light box along with a gorgeous book of garden birds to inspire the children.
It's tricky to get good photos whilst the light box is on!
However, the children loved working with the clay and with some really lovely wooden clay tools which we have.
