With Spring here, its a great time to learn about new life with a focus on ducklings. Why not start a topic off with some duckling playdough.
Children (and adults) love playing with playdough! It feels so soft and you just cant help yourself to touch it!
Follow this recipe to achieve the most softest playdough!
Lemon
Playdough
You need:

450g plain flour
·
230g salt
·
8 tsp cream of tartar
·
5 tbsp cooking oil
·
430ml boiling water
·
Yellow food colouring
·
Lemon essence
Mix the flour, salt, cream of tartar and
oil together in a large bowl. Add the food colouring to the water and mix into
the other ingredients. At this point add the essence.
Create some blue playdough to make a pond for the ducklings to take their first dip in!
Blue Playdough
You need:

450g plain flour
·
230g salt
·
8 tsp cream of tartar
·
5 tbsp cooking oil
·
430ml boiling water
·
Blue food colouring
All
you do is:
Mix
the flour, salt, cream of tartar and oil together in a large bowl. Add the food
colouring to the water and mix into the other ingredients. Turn onto a floured
surface and knead. If sticky, wait a few minutes and it will turn into a pile
of fluffiness! Keep in a sealed bag or box and it will last for ages!
Leave out with feathers, googly eyes and mini ducklings to inspire!
Glass nuggets are also cheap and a great loose part for children to spark their imaginations with.
