Home Grown -Adventures in parenting off the beaten track, unschooling, and reconnecting with the natural world.

This book is great for showing us that wherever we live, learning at any age is a lifelong process and that the best education is never confined to a classroom.

Education outside of a classroom

This book follows the life of two unschooled boys who live with their parents on their small family farm. The boys have been given the freedom to follow their own inclinations, to learn what they want to learn, to be mentored in skills which interest them by instructors and friends they admire. They spend most of their time roaming the forest, hunting, trapping, gathering, inventing and playing. And learning throughout all of it!
A good book for an insight into unschooling.
