Button Patterns on Mirrors

Mirrors are so appealing to work on. Add some buttons and it's even more inviting!

Create patterns on buttons and whiteboard pens on mirrors

Loose parts and mirrors seem so inviting! This is a great way to explore patterns and uses fine motor skills. These mirror tiles were really cheap although you do have to be careful of breakages! I cannot seem find an acrylic one which is as effective as glass. Draw a pattern onto the mirror using a dry wipe pen and use the loose parts to take it further.

This activity is great for creating patterns by colour or size. Skills such as counting, ordering, sorting and problem solving are all used.

Great for asking questions also in order to deepen their thinking further.
Pattern cards could be left out for inspiration or why not look a patterns in nature.
