How many buttons can you float on your boat?
The Girl was showing curiosity about things which float so I set up this provocation.
They started off by placing a flat piece of foil in the water and putting the buttons on top. However she soon realised that her design needed altering as it was letting water in.
The adapted design had the sides turned up to prevent the water coming in and the buttons falling off. However she decided it needed to be larger.
A larger design which held more buttons and stayed afloat.
The Boy thought he would sort the buttons into categories and only use the small ones in his boat.
They then moved onto investigating if the foil would float if it was screwed up into different sizes.
